The 15 Minute Workout......

So you've got work, kids, family, meetings, and a full basket of dirty laundry........and no time for a workout. Its always better to get a quick workout rather than skip one altogether. A quick workout will not only help keep your cardiovascular system healthy, but it will also help combat stress and will eliminate the self-destructive feelings of guilt we all experience when we don't exercise. So when life is too busy for a good walk or a workout at the gym, these are some great ways to squeeze in some exercise.

During lunch or a coffee break, take a brisk walk around the block. You'll return
feeling refreshed and ready for work as well as burning a few calories. (I always keep a pair of tennis shoes in the car for quick walks.)
Shopping keeping you from exercise? Skip the elevator and take the stairs, or rather

than spending a few minutes finding a 'good' spot close to the front of the store, park a little farther away and walk. Its amazing how quick these little things really add up.

We all have laundry to do, so why not make it an aerobic activity. Run to and from
the washer, and when folding the laundry do lunges and squats in between trips to the dresser and closet.
A sink full of dishes can give you an extra 20 minutes to work on your calves as well
as your buttocks. Do a couple of sets of calf raises and leg lifts as you scrub dinner off of the dishes.
